Launch OpenClaw

OpenClaw is a gateway: it connects the chat apps you already use to an AI agent, so you can message your agent like a friend and it gets real work done.

Your chat (WhatsApp/Telegram/Slack)→AI agent→reply back to your chat

1 · Install (Mac, macOS 15+)

In Terminal, run:
brew install --cask openclaw
Or download the app from openclaw.ai.

2 · Set it up

Run openclaw onboard
Follow the guided setup: add your AI model, turn on the Gateway + workspace, and connect one channel (e.g. Telegram).

3 · Talk to your agent

openclaw chat opens a chat right in your terminal.
openclaw qr shows a QR code to pair your phone.
Give it one real task and watch it work.

First things to ask it

"Summarize my unread messages."
"Draft a reply to this and send it."
"Remind me at 6pm to call the dentist."

Not on a Mac? The app is macOS-only for now — but you can build the same flow by hand: use claude.ai as your "agent," and for 3 real messages, relay them by hand (paste the incoming message in, send its answer back through your chat app). You'll feel exactly what a gateway automates.

Safety first. Agents can take actions on your behalf. Start with "ask me before doing anything risky," and only give it access you're comfortable with. Earn autonomy as you trust it.
